Additionally, the Formalization Support program intends to provide free business name registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) for over 250,000 new businesses.

Target Beneficiaries
The grant is intended for the following groups of Nigerians falling into the categories outlined below: employees of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and self-employed individuals.
Employees of MSMEs:
- Employers of labor must fulfill the following requirements:
- Their business operations must be located in any of the 36 states of Nigeria.
- The business should be officially registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
- The business must be 100% owned by a Nigerian.
- To prevent fraud, a Bank Verification Number (BVN) is required.
- The business should have a workforce of at least three individuals.
2. Self-Employed Individuals in the following categories:
This category includes service providers in the transportation sector, such as bus drivers, taxi drivers, ride-share drivers (e.g., Uber, Bolt, Taxify), and mechanics. It also encompasses artisans, electricians, plumbers, and more.”
How to Register on the Survival Fund Portal
Before accessing the portal, ensure you know the specific program you wish to apply for, as previously detailed. Visit the portal at www.survivalfundapplication.com and, under your chosen program, click on the ‘Register’ button.
UPDATES: Both portals are currently inactive, which suggests that a different website may be used for the upcoming registration. Keep an eye on this page for any potential changes to the URL.
Once you’ve successfully created an account, click on the ‘Activate Account’ menu. You will be redirected to another page where you must input the activation code received via your email address or phone number. Note that you won’t be able to complete the registration without activating your account.

The application process will take place on the portal at www.survivalfund.ng. However, at the moment, this portal is no longer in use. When you click on the ‘Register’ button, you will be immediately redirected to www.survivalfundapplication.com, which is also not currently in use.
